Ana Lelas is a pillar of strength for the National Team due to her all-round game and versatility, which can see her playing a number of positions. She is normally utilised on the wing or inside, but wherever she is it doesn't seem to affect her ability to put the ball in the hole. During the Qualifying Round last summer, she made a big impact with just about everything she did but especially in her perimeter shooting and fantastic rebounding. She has shown a great passion and real aggression while in a Croatia vest and also plenty of leadership to help the team book their spot. Defensively, Lelas is strong, can block shots and will be one of the main players once again at her second EuroBasket Women tournament. At club level, Lelas has played mainly in France during her career, including a spell with Bourges where she suffered an injury, which kept her out of a large chunk of the 2009-10 season. Nevertheless she has won titles and played in EuroLeague Women (with Bourges), EuroCup Women and at the FIBA U21 World Championship Women in 2003.
