The captain and one of the leaders of the team, Jelavic is a veteran playmaker who has had some injury problems of late and may find herself locked in a race to be healthy enough to step out in France this summer. She was also injured for EuroBasket Women 2011, although did return last year to lead the team from the backcourt at the Olympics. Having played for some big name clubs including Dynamo Moscow and Wisla Can-Pack, she also played in the EuroCup Final with Kayseri Kaski spor less than 18 months ago. If fit, she will pull the strings and utilise her extensive know-how to ensure her teammates get the ball in the right places at the right time.
