Ilona Korstin is still going strong after being recently crowned a EuroCup Women champion with Dynamo Moscow and it is now some 12 years since Korstin first stepped out at a major tournament for Russia. A veteran player who was once the official face of the women's game in Europe, she is one of the most hard-nosed and competitive players around. She was barely used at the Olympics last year, but could be utilised more fully in France, a country she knows very well due to her her dual nationality status. She is always contributing when on the floor and affecting every game she plays due to her willingness to do a little bit of everything at both ends of the court - and do it well. She will help out on the glass and is a good one-on-one defender. She has been a key player for the national team for many years and it will be interesting to see if France offers her a fitting farewell if she opts to call it a day.
