Team 2012-13: Fenerbahçe (Turkey-TKBL) Career: Migros Spor Kulubu (Turkey-TKBL, 2002-2004), Fenerbahce (Turkey-TKBL, 2004-13)
Always fun to watch due to her electrifying pace and exquisite passing ability, Vardarli also seems to have developed more confidence in trusting her dangerous three-point shot during recent years, which means she is now a real combo option for Turkey. This was evidenced by her shared playmaking responsibilities at Fenerbahce last season, whom she took to the title game of the EuroLeague Women Final Eight. That made history, as did getting Turkey to the Final at EuroBasket Women two years ago when she came up with some stunning plays in the semi-final against France. She is a nightmare to stop or even slow down in open court, plays the game with a smile on her face and is a big fans' favourite in her homeland. She's the player who will inevitably be asked to execute the game winning play in crunch time, whether that means doing it herself, or most likely, dishing up the assist which secures victory. |
